University of Pennsylvania – MBA from the Wharton School of Business
Although this Ivy League university has somewhat limited offerings in undergraduate studies online, their Wharton School of Business has been giving bona fide elearning degrees practically since online learning started. Make no mistake – Wharton is a business school that’s as highly respected, and in some quarters even more highly respected, than Harvard. Wharton’s website is very explicit about the fact that their online degree is the real thing, stating: “The Wharton EMBA Is the Full Wharton MBA.”
This is a 2 year program, and while admission is competitive, the school is very committed to diversity in its student body. A major key to this program is the fact that it can put you in touch with other Wharton alumni. But there are two huge restrictions: First, there is some classroom attendance required, and the courses are only offered in Philadelphia and San Francisco. Second, it’s expensive as hell: the two year MBA costs more than $150,000. The schools “PennAdvance” does offer students to get undergraduate credits or audit course from anywhere. There are also online degrees and CME course offered in Dental Education, Medical and Nursing Education and English Language.
