Blind Student About To Get His MBA Degree Online

Here’s an amazing story about how far one person can go, and how far online learning can reach. Virginia College student Lonzo Hall will complete his MBA degree online this coming December. What’s unique about his story is that he happens to be blind. After getting a business degree at a traditional college, Mr. Hall was able to do his more advanced degree via e-learning thanks to specialized equipment on his home computer. “It’s amazing now what software is available to make it possible for me and others with the same disability to pursue a higher education,” he says. Online degree programs like this are actually considered an advantage to disabled students who might feel uncomfortable in a typical brick and mortar classroom environment. The 53 year-old Mr. Hall already has his own business, but says “there’s still so much left to do.”
